Regional Extension Assistance Center for Health Information Technology (REACH)
REACH is the federally designated HIT Regional Extension Center (HIT REC) for Minnesota and North Dakota. (The Center is a partner of REACH.) Through REACH services, health care providers will receive HIT education and technical assistance to improve the quality and value of care they deliver. Eligible providers may receive incentive payments for their Medicare and Medicaid patients upon demonstrating meaningful use. HIT regional extension centers provide education and technical assistance to support use of electronic health records, including knowledge of best practices. Sixty of these centers will serve primary care providers, critical access hospitals, rural hospitals and other priority providers.
