Minnesota Center for Rural Health
The Rural Health Resource Center's Minnesota Center for Rural Health (MCRH) was developed in 1990 as a collaborative initiative of the major state health associations, the Minnesota Department of Health, the state medical and nursing schools, and the University of Minnesota. The Center provides physician, physician assistant, pharmacist, and nurse practitioner recruitment and retention services to providers, rural communities, the the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care. The Center conducts community healthcare market surveys, focus groups, strategic planning, and economic impact assessments for rural hospitals, clinics, and Minnesota educational institutions and assists with grant writing.
