Provides an overview of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) under the Title XIII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 creates the HIT Policy Committee, HIT Standard Committee, and process for adoption of recommendations for standards and policies from these committees, all of which is overseen by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT).
