Selena joined the Center in June 2018 as the Program Specialist for the Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program.  She has a wealth of experience in community outreach and education. Selena has worked alongside lay health workers and nationally-recognized organizations to help identify and meet the needs of underserved and disaster-affected populations and communities. Selena has also been extensively involved in developing training curricula, creating and organizing training materials, assisting in the recruitment of program participants from the Northern Gulf Coast region, and planning and facilitating training sessions, conferences, and community meetings, and personally presenting many key lay health worker training modules.

Selena received her Master of Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi and has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Alabama with a concentration in Healthcare Management.
