DRCHSD Finance Series: Rural Hospital Financial and Operational Best Practices

Session Description: This presentation focuses on the attributes and strategies of successful CAHs throughout the United States. There is a pattern of success. Key topics covered include understanding rural hospital economics and the impact of inpatient and outpatient volumes, an abundance leadership approach and measurement culture, knowing your market service area, effective organizational design, improving revenue cycle practices, physician practice management, information technology, and others. Topics are broken down into the parts intrinsic to every CAH and analyzed.
