Speaker: Gregg Davis, MD, MBA
Chief Medical Officer, Illinois Rural Community Care Organization, LLC

The introduction of MACRA marked a major change in physician reimbursement methodology. Prior to this legislation service, volume drove physician revenue. Value has replaced volume as the key driver of revenue. Dr. Davis explores the impact value-based reimbursement, MIPS and Alternative Payment Models (APMs) have on physicians. The participation choices and the effect of employment in a fee-for-service (FFS) environment, rural health clinic (RHCs) and federally qualified rural health clinics (FQHCs) are discussed.
