The New Ulm Medical Center, a critical access hospital, has worked through the challenges of low volume and specialization of health care to maximize the advantages in rural of employee engagement and community relationships to integrate a value-based health care system. They have a successful model with positive outcomes in improved health, better care and lower cost.
