In this highly interactive program, participants will be introduced to a new framework for linking strategy to operations to achieve a competitive advantage. Most importantly, this framework establishes a strong linkage from strategy to operations so that employee’s daily activities support strategic objectives. Hospitals that use a formal system for implementing and monitoring strategy outperform their peers. Various research studies done in the last 25 years indicate that 60-80% of companies fall short of the success predicted from their new strategy. Creating a strategy execution system that engages the board, management, providers and employees can help avoid this shortfall. Various Board and management reports that drive and monitor performance will be shared. The Hospital Strength Index will be introduced and stories from the top 100 critical access hospitals will be discussed.
