Patients and providers are experiencing significant changes as reforms are being implemented in health care. As coverage has been expanded, one of the biggest challenges centers around the increase in patient financial responsibility through higher copays and deductibles. These high deductibles often catch both providers and patients off-guard when services are provided. This leads to patient and provider frustration as well as lost revenues for the provider. This session discusses the impact that high deductibles have on providers and best practices that can be implemented to address the concerns of patients and providers.
