Pointe Coupee General Hospital (PCGH) shares their experience with an emergency department (ED) operational assessment and process improvement project. PCGH targeted improvement in various ED processes to include patient registration, patient flow, coding and billing process, staffing, ED utilization and patient satisfaction survey. This call shares PCGH outcomes and benefits from the project and provides recommendations for other rural hospitals to improve ED services
