The Center's Official Commitment to DEI and Anti-racism

December 2021
Organization:
National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center)

The Center has established a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and Anti-Racism statement to support our mission, vision, core values, and guiding principles.

These principles will be practiced within our organization and shared with our clients, vendors, partners, and grantees we serve, to express our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work.

Center Staff share our DEI and Anti-racism statement and commitment in a short video:

New Health Equity Collection

Health Equity is the condition under which individuals are provided the resources they need in order to have access to the same opportunities for health, as the general population.

Equity accounts for systematic inequalities, meaning the distribution of resources provides more for those who need it most. Achieving health equity in rural communities requires assessment, collaboration, education, and targeted activities.

This collection reflects resources created to increase the understanding of health equity, assess needs in communities, and develop strategies to improve access and health outcomes for all.
