EMS Agenda for the Future

May 1996

The EMS Agenda for the Future, published in 1996, provided an opportunity to examine what had been learned during the past three decades and create a vision for the future. The EMS Agenda for the Future project was supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau. This document focused on aspects of emergency medical services (EMS) related to emergency care outside traditional health care facilities.
