A major challenge facing rural health networks and coalitions is how to collaboratively address shared goals while effectively maximizing resource sharing of the partners involved. PARTNER is a social network analysis tool sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and designed for use by collaboratives/coalitions to demonstrate how members are connected, how resources are leveraged and exchanged and how outcomes are linked to the process of collaboration. By using the tool, networks can evaluate the effectiveness of collaboration, engage in strategic collaborative management and demonstrate progress to stakeholders.
