Rural Health Equity and Quality Summit

With the support of the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP), the National Rural Health Resource Center’s (The Center) Rural Healthcare Provider Transition Project (RHPTP) held the virtual Rural Health Equity and Quality Summit in June 2022.

The summit convened nationally recognized content experts in rural health care policy, health equity, value-based care, and clinical quality to explore the small rural hospital and rural health clinic’s roles in achieving health equity. Panelists focused on actionable steps on how to maximize available resources and data, and provide solutions for achieving rural health equity.

This summit report will assist rural hospitals, clinics, and network leaders on their path to value-based care and alternative payment models by offering actionable steps on how to maximize available resources and data, and provide solutions for advancing rural health equity.
