There are many factors impacting health care provider supply and demand, such as population growth, health care provider retirement, aging population and insurance coverage expansion.

Access to quality health care is dependant on the availability of health care professionals to provide needed services.Rural communities generally have fewer physicians, nurses, and other health care workforce, where the loss of a single health care provider can significanlty impact a rural community.
