Wisconsin State Flex Program

What is one Core Competency your state Flex Program is working on developing through Flex activities?

Core Competency: Developing Leadership and Workforce

Through Flex, WORH is funding two different Lean projects, both with the goal of increasing staff/workflow efficiency, reducing waste, strengthening team dynamics, and much more. One project is to provide stipends to rural healthcare professionals to participate in Rural Wisconsin Healthcare Coop's four-month-long Lean Residency. The other is using Flex to fund individual hospitals' Lean Initiatives, where they proposed Lean-related projects to work on.

What is one activity your state is funding through SHIP?

Our office funds the "Rural Health Dashboard," which our partnering organization, Wisconsin Hospital Association, puts together. The Dashboard provides financial, quality, and other data/information for rural hospitals. The web-based tool is completely interactive, so hospitals can customize it to meet their specific needs. The tool also supports the comparison of rural hospital(s) to each other and/or to a rural cohort.
