2:00pm to 3:00pm CST
National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center)

Flex Programs find themselves assisting critical access hospitals (CAHs) to navigate the shaky bridge to a value-based health care system, which can include difficult conversations when the hospitals are struggling.

This recorded VKG webinar focuses on the book Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High, by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillian and Al Switzler. This text provides suggestions for skills and approaches that help identify and hold crucial conversations. There are other approaches too and in our VKG conversation, we will talk about how we all approach difficult conversations and include some best practices and general facilitation tips that will help.

Intended audience:

  • Flex Coordinators and other Flex Program staff
  • State Office of Rural Health (SORH) Directors

The recording is available in the Flex Program Forum (log-in required). Flex Program Forum access is limited to those indicated on the Flex Program Forum page.
