FORHP Flex Program Workshop

Event Details
Tuesday, October 23, 2018 to Thursday, October 25, 2018
Host:
National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center)

Attendance at this event is open only to state Flex grantees.

The goal of the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) Flex Program Workshop is to provide new or existing Flex Program staff an orientation to the Flex Program. The FORHP Flex Program Workshop covers multiple topics, including basic critical access hospital finance, quality and performance improvement concepts, information on emergency medical services (EMS), population health and Flex Program core competencies and best practices. Each of the sessions will be presented by either staff of the National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center) or a subject matter expert, including speakers from FORHP, the Flex Monitoring Team (FMT) and Rural Quality Improvement Technical Assistance (RQITA). All of the speakers have vast knowledge and rural experience in the subject area. By the completion of the Workshop, participants will have gained a better understanding of the Flex Program's goals and services available from the Technical Assistance and Services Center (TASC), a program of The Center, to support Flex Program excellence.

The FORHP Flex Program Workshop consists of one full day and two half days of training beginning the morning of Tuesday, October 23 and ending early-afternoon on Thursday, October 25. It will be held at the Fitger's Lakefront Hotel in Duluth, Minnesota. There is no charge for the workshop; however, states are required to pay lodging and travel expenses which is allowable as part of the Flex grant.

In addition to the event itself, there are a few other expectations that go along with attending the FORHP Flex Program Workshop. These expectations will be outlined in detail to those confirmed to be eligible for participation in the FORHP Flex Program Workshop.

Registration for this event is closed.

The FORHP Flex Program Workshop is supported by FORHP and coordinated by TASC.
