Anusha Sheikh

Anusha joined The Center in March 2024 and serves as Program Coordinator for the Technical Assistance & Services Center (TASC)  and Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) teams. She supports rural health educational webinars, data input/analysis, learning collaboratives, workshops, and assists her team in preparing technical assistance and resources. 

Anusha brings her in-depth knowledge of underserved communities, growing up and receiving her education in West Virginia, a state with the majority of its counties designated as rural. Anusha holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Charleston and a Master of Public Health degree with a Social and Behavioral Science concentration from West Virginia University.

Anusha brings experience working on a web-based conference series for increasing genetic services in rural Appalachia. She also worked with the West Virginia University STEAM Technical Assistance Center focused on providing trusted and practical educational programs that improve health, education, and prosperity to build a better future. Anusha recently worked in public health grant writing by facilitating contractual application packages and grant proposals for WIC, Infection Control & Disease Prevention, Environmental Health, and Threat Preparedness programs.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and traveling.
