Laura joined The Center as the Accounting Coordinator II in March 2025. She is a seasoned financial professional with experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. As a member of the finance team, she manages accounts payable, processing travel and expense reports and supports the Controller and Accountant with various tasks.
She began her financial career in the banking industry where her love of learning helped her career advance from front-line customer service to specialized financial areas culminating in a VP Controller position.
Her adventurous nature led her to live, work and play in Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Eager to use her skills in a new arena, she joined the non-profit sector in corporate guardian and conservatorship managing financial affairs for protected individuals.
Laura graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. She lives in St. Peter, MN where she enjoys spending time with family, her cat, Luna, reading and being outdoors.
