Michael Andrews brings a wealth of knowledge to our DRCHSD team. His knowledge and experience assists the team with planning, facilitating, and developing best practice recommendations. Michael also aids the team in improving financial performance, implementing operational efficiencies, and enhancing quality of care for selected organizations. He also collaborates with rural health centers to ensure the centers benefit from Value Based Care initiatives and prepare for population health.
Michael developed his medical service delivery knowledge base by serving in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and X-Ray Technician. Michael’s career experience scales from Biller/Coder and spans to Practice Administrator. He obtained a dual master’s degree in General and Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland with undergraduate degrees in Business Management (BS) and computer science (AA). Michael holds certifications with MGMA (CMPE), AAPC (CPC-P), and AHIMA (CHTS-PW) with more than 20 years of revenue cycle optimization success. Michael has served AAPC as an Education Officer for 4 years.
Michael resides in Atlanta Georgia. He enjoys playing Chess and exercising.
