Franklin Hospital is located in Benton, IL, Franklin County. In 1955 Franklin Hospital began operation with 115 beds. Over the years as healthcare has changed so, too, has Franklin Hospital. Now a 16-bed Critical Access Hospital, Franklin Hospital has taken great strides to improve the quality of healthcare services offered to their small rural communities. Franklin Hospital partners with SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in nearby Mt. Vernon, Illinois to offer county residents access to their network of physician specialists.

Franklin Hospital patients have access to Age and Case Management, Cardiopulmonary services, Emergency Department, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Geriatrics, Hospitalists, Internal Medicine, Laboratory, Nephrology, Neurology, Nutritional Counseling, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Urology, and Senior Care specialties.
