Bridging the Future: Innovation, Adaptation, and Equity for Rural Health Care
July 19-21, 2022
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. CST (each day, virtual)

We must innovate and adapt while acknowledging increased attention to health inequities with the constantly evolving situations we are working and living in. Content at the RSV will showcase the impacts our partners (including you) have in providing quality health care to communities across the country. 2022 is the 25th anniversary of the Balanced Budget Act, which created the Critical Access Hospital (CAH) designation and the national Flex Program. We wanted a theme that embodied where we’re coming from and bridged to where we are going. To accomplish great things moving forward, we will need innovative approaches, adaptation to our environments, and equitable programs that improve health care in rural areas.

2022 Flex Program Virtual RSV Learning Objectives

By attending the Flex Program Reverse Site Visit, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply the future direction of the Flex Program

  • Identify opportunities to implement promising practices and lessons learned by CAHs and state Flex Programs, particularly related to performance improvement

  • Promote innovation, adaptation, and equity through the Flex Program’s Core Competencies

  • Strengthen the leadership of state Flex Programs

Please remember that as part of each state’s notice of award (NOA), there is a participation requirement for this annual meeting of state Flex Programs. Since this year’s event will be virtual, FORHP asks that you reallocate travel funds designated for this event to other program areas, NOT to carry over the funds. Please discuss your reallocation plans with your FORHP project officer. Additional information about the format and the Cvent virtual platform can be found here.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s RSV!
