DRCHSD Finance Series: Rural Health Clinics Financial and Operational Best Practices

Session Description: This presentation focuses on the attributes and strategies of successful RHCs throughout the United States. Clinics, and specifically RHCs, have been an increased area of focus for hospitals given the need to treat patients in outpatient settings. However, there has been a lack of understanding of distinct operational needs for successfully run clinics. Key topics covered include the understanding of rural health clinic-specific economics, provider engagement, addressing throughput constraints, and working with staffing shortages.

Time: Thursday, July 28th from 11:00 – 12:00 pm CST

Speaker(s):

  • Opal Greenway, JD, MBA

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how RHCs differ in finance and operations from the hospital-setting
  • Develop a checklist of tactics/strategies to implement for your RHCs
  • Assess your organization’s performance relative to best practices

Invitations will be sent out to participants prior to the date of the event. If you have any questions contact Caleb Lozinski or Nick McRae.
