FY22 Flex EMS Supplement Small Group Meeting

The purpose of this event was to share content about the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Roadway Safety Strategy, resources, and initiatives related to it, and to facilitate peer-to-peer sharing about the Flex EMS supplement projects.

  • Recognize the DOT’s Roadway Safety Strategy and how rural fits into it
  • List current or potential federal funding sources to fund related initiatives
  • Recall examples of rural initiatives
  • Explain the role of NEMSIS data in analyzing rural roadway safety
  • Examine the potential roles and partnerships for Flex Programs and SORHs to identify and implement initiatives
