Sally B

Sally has been with The Center since 1993 and has served as CEO since 2013. In leadership at The Center, Sally develops rural health technical assistance, directs federal programs, fosters key partnerships, and guides Center strategy. She provides innovative solutions for rural health issues at the federal, state, and local level by analyzing rural hospital, clinic, and state needs. Sally oversees three Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) cooperative agreements that provide services and technical assistance to State Offices of Rural Health, hospitals, clinics, and communities.

Sally serves as a liaison to FORHP and other national rural health organizations and represents the organization on appropriate rural health committees and boards. Previously at The Center, she directed outreach and education for the Regional Extension Assistance Center for HIT in MN and ND (REACH).

Sally has served on the Board of Directors for the National Rural Health Association and the Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a certified fellow of ACHE. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in Education and Kinesiology from the University of Michigan.

Sally lives at the tip of Lake Superior in Duluth with her family that includes twin boys. She spends time walking the beach everyday with her golden retriever and enjoys working at a family apple orchard and cooking with local produce.
