Selena McCord joined the National Rural Health Resource Center in June 2018.  As a Program Manager, Selena is responsible for providing leadership and direction of the Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program’s community care coordination goal areas. This involves managing the delivery of technical assistance (TA) services to support healthcare organizations and their communities with adopting best practices to improve health outcomes.

Selena has over 10 years of experience in public health.  Key accomplishments include developing and facilitating lay health worker training curricula as a part of the Gulf Region Health Outreach Program and the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative’s Consortium for Resilient Gulf Communities’ grant.

Selena received her Master of Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Healthcare Management.

Selena enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, organizing, and doing all things wellness related (including retail shopping).   She is also passionate about and serves on the Center’s DEI and HR Workgroups.
