Shannon joined The Center in February 2019 and currently serves as The Center’s Human Resources Manager. In this role, she supports The Center’s mission by partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the Center’s human resources and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, and retention. She also develops, leads and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources team, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of The Center’s mission and Learning and Growth strategies. Her work supports the improvement of rural health care by building a collaborative, diverse team aligned with The Center's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota- Duluth. She has over 30 years of business experience ranging from non-profits and government to Fortune 500 companies. Shannon has an extensive background in project management, strategic planning, sales, marketing, event and campaign management, and human resources.
She has a passion for building healthy communities and changing the narrative about mental illness. She serves on the steering committee for Make It OK, a national campaign which addresses stigma around mental illness.
Shannon enjoys time spent with her family, her friends and her dogs (not necessarily in that order). She enjoys a good book or board game and is always in the mood for an evening at the theatre, ballet or opera.
