Eligibility and Application

Eligibility

Each year, the Delta Region Community Health Systems Development (DRCHSD) Program selects approximately ten health care organizations to participate and receive technical assistance support.

Eligible DRCHSD applicants include critical access hospitals, small rural hospitals, rural health clinics, and other health care organizations located in Delta Regional Authority (DRA) designated counties and parishes

Individual questions about eligibility should be directed to drchsd-program@ruralcenter.org.

Application

Applications for the DRCHSD Program are accepted on a rolling basis and may be submitted at any time during the year.

Step 1: Applicants submit an online application form.

Step 2: Applicants complete an online survey, which is requested after the organization is confirmed eligible.

Step 3: Chief Executive Officers participate in an interview during an application review call.

Submission of a full application does not guarantee your organization will be selected for technical assistance services.

Applications are evaluated based on (1) how well each applicant organization’s technical assistance needs coincide with the program’s purpose and goals, and (2) the commitment of the organization’s leadership to participate fully in the program.

Applicants not selected to participate in the current program cycle will be considered for future cycles.

Organizations selected to participate in the upcoming project year will be notified by phone and email most likely in the fall for program activities to begin. The annual selection of organizations for DRCHSD technical assistance is contingent upon funding approval for each program year.
