This Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Pricing Transparency Guide aims to support SHIP Coordinators, along with their hospitals and local partners, to navigate the Price Transparency Rule of November 15, 2019.

The SHIP Pricing Transparency Guide includes an overview of the basics and history of the Price Transparency Rulings, key terms, eligibility, exemptions and key components followed by a hospital readiness workplan, and penalties for non-compliance. This guide also includes resources, a list of shoppable services, and an implementation work plan template.
