RHPTP HELP Webinar: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Future of Rural Health Care

National Rural Health Resource Center

Description

This webinar focuses on how rural health care organizations can use artificial intelligence (AI) to support value-based care in practical, realistic ways. Rather than approaching AI as a standalone technology, learn how to use it as decision support that helps small teams deliver proactive care, improve documentation quality and coordinate services across the care continuum. Predictive analytics and Chronic Care Management can be two high impact entry points for rural settings, and help address the foundational work required for success, including data readiness, EHR optimization, integration and basic AI governance. Gain a better understanding of where AI fits today and how to begin applying it in ways that align with value-based care goals.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe how AI supports value-based care in rural health care settings, with an emphasis on proactive care delivery, care coordination and documentation accuracy.
  2. Understand how to implement predictive analytics and Chronic Care Management as practical entry points for applying AI in rural organizations to support population health and longitudinal care.
  3. Assess organizational readiness for AI adoption, including data quality, EHR and clinic hospital integration, and the importance of basic AI governance and human oversight.
