Terry Hill, Senior Advisor for Leadership & Rural Health Policy, National Rural Health Resource Center

Terry Hill grew up in Central Alaska about 200 miles away from the nearest hospital or clinic, so he comes to rural health with that background.

Terry has been working with rural hospitals across the country for the last 30 years and is the founder of the National Rural Health Resource Center. He has moved to a senior advisor role but continues to work with rural hospitals in every state helping rural hospitals make the transition to value.   

Shannon Studden, Senior Program Specialist, National Rural Health Resource Center

Shannon Studden provides education, coaching, and technical assistance to leaders of rural hospitals and rural health networks. Throughout her career, she has supported leaders’ development in areas such as communication, conflict resolution, change management, and collaboration. She holds a Masters's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Rhonda Barcus, Program Manager, National Rural Health Resource Center

Rhonda Barcus is the manager of the Small Rural Hospital Transition Project (SRHT). SRHT supports hospitals in persistent poverty counties to make the transition to value. Rhonda also manages the Community and Population Health Program. Her background is in behavioral health. Rhonda has a Master’s in Psychology and is a licensed professional counselor. She has been in private practice and worked in hospital settings since the late ‘80s working in behavioral health work, eventually moving into organizational development and leadership development.
