DRCHSD Rural Health Clinic Webinar Series (2 of 2)

Maintaining Compliance in Your RHC

Description:  Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) are subject to an initial certification survey as well as recertification surveys.  Unfortunately, because these recertification surveys may not take place for at least 3 years after the initial survey or the last certification surveys, there is a significant opportunity to fall outside of compliance with RHC requirements if the RHC does not have proactive controls in place.  This presentation will review common deficiencies found during certification and/or recertification surveys as well as best practices to continually review the RHC’s operations to identify risks.

Objectives:

  • Identify where the requirements for RHCs can be located so they can be referenced in the future.
  • Identify common compliance deficiencies identified by surveyors during RHC certification and/or recertification surveys.
  • Identify best practices RHCs can utilize to continually review compliance with requirements and identify and address areas of risk.

Audience: RHC staff or anyone interested in the topic.

Speaker(s): FORVIS Consulting
