DRCHSD 2020 Virtual Summit

The focus of the Delta Region Community Health System's Development (DRCHSD) 2020 Summit is to address current issues, learn from peer best practices and adapt in a rapidly changing health care environment. The purpose of this event is to provide DRCHSD participating hospitals and clinics with a collaborative learning environment to make connections, share best practices, and gather lessons learned to empower and support participating organizations. Through presentations and interactive discussions, participants will be able to improve and strengthen their organizations. We look forward to your participation at this educational and informative virtual event.
Proper alignment with employed and affiliated physicians continues to present challenges, especially to rural providers. With growing practice subsidies and recruitment and retention difficulties, leaders must engage at a deeper level with the medical staff to achieve sustainable arrangements. Tune in to hear from BKD experts about how organizations are repositioning to achieve value for the organization, physicians and the patients they mutually care for.
BKD will review the revenue cycle strategies rural hospital and clinic leaders should be aware of as they determine how to prioritize and address any backlog in revenue cycle. This session will provide leaders with an example of how to prioritize A/R, opportunities for uninsured COVID reimbursement programs, and discuss how to manage remote staff productivity.
Hospitals are eager to resume operations and reach pre-COVID volumes as quickly as possible. However, with the threat of a possible COVID resurgence, labor disruptions and community uncertainty, the rebound is slower than expected. Tune in to learn strategies that successful rural hospitals are pursuing to recast operations and rebuild lost volumes as quickly as possible.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance on March 27, 2020, March 30, 2020 and April 17, 2020 as part of the Medicare and Medicaid Programs for the Policy and Regulatory Revisions in Response to the COVID -19 Public Health Emergency: Interim Final Rule, and Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Join our consultants from BKD as they outline the updated coding and billing instructions for Part B and RHC settings, as well as potential reimbursement and cost report impact.
