About Rural Health Innovations
Rural Health Innovations (RHI), LLC is a subsidiary of the National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center), a non-profit organization. Together, RHI and The Center are the nation's leading technical assistance and knowledge centers in rural health. In partnership with The Center, RHI enhances the health of rural communities by providing products and services with a focus on excellence and innovation.
Rural Health Innovations, LLC (RHI) was created to respond to the emerging market of rural health care as part of the overall health care industry. Reimbursement enhancements have allowed rural health care providers, small rural hospitals specifically, to pass along some of their costs on their cost reports. This has strengthened the financial position of many of these small rural hospitals and other rural providers making them more attractive to health care vendors and service providers.
- RHI has been incorporated since February of 2005. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rural Health Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
- RHI was created to provide opportunities in the rural health marketplace that enhance products and services available to rural health providers, but that cannot or should not occur on the not-for-profit side of the business.
- RHI will broker or facilitate the brokering of information and knowledge sharing which benefits the rural health marketplace.
- RHI will enhance the health of rural communities by identifying, creating or partnering with stakeholders in the development of programs, activities, and resources that benefit rural communities.
