Using Telehealth to Support Value-Based Care

01:00 PM
National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center)
Registration Deadline
Tuesday, August 24, 2021

Telehealth can be an effective tool in managing chronic conditions in reducing readmissions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the 1135 Federal waiver permitted certified rural health clinics (RHCs) and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) to provide services using telehealth without the restrictions that were previously in place.

During this event, you will learn the basics of telehealth including how to get started, payment and policy considerations in value-based care. During this session, you will also hear from an RHC and SRH who are currently using telehealth to meet the needs of their patient populations.

Speaker:

Candy Hanson, BSN, PHN, LHIT-HP, Stratis Health

Learning Objectives:

By attending this webinar, participants will:

  • Learn the basics of telehealth including considerations for use in value-based care
  • Understand the federal payment policies that emerged in the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Recognize how other RHCs and SRHs are utilizing telehealth to manage their patients' needs

Content is tailored to guide SRH and certified RHCs not currently participating in VBC to prepare for and position their organizations to be effective participants in a health system focused on value. Live HELP Webinars events are intended for qualifying SRH and certified RHCs; eligibility requirements apply to attend the event live.
