Advisory Committee

The Delta Region Community Health Systems Development (DRCHSD) Program Advisory Committee provides advice and guidance to the National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center), the Delta Regional Authority, and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy on all aspects of rural health care unique to the Delta Region.

Committee members are tasked with informing and updating The Center and its federal partners about emerging trends in Delta Region communities — which helps to ensure the technical assistance provided to DRCHSD Program participants is responsive to current needs.

The Advisory Committee shares its insights and advice on a range of topics, including:

  • Access to care (including the implementation of telehealth)
  • Emergency medical services
  • Financial distress factors
  • Health care delivery
  • Health care quality
  • Health care workforce
  • Rural health care coordination
